Horse riding tours in Borovets
Overview
Our horse riding day tours are available for all abilities from complete novices through to experienced riders. We cover a variety of terrain from forest pathways, through open flowery meadows, across streams, alongside rivers and next to waterfalls. All our daily tours are accompanied by experienced guides, so your friends will be in safe hands.
The minimum number to do this day tour is 6 people. Our maximum capacity is 16 persons. Note for larger stag parties we can mix and match day tours; just email us and we can discuss all the possibilities.
The horse riding day tours are organised in summer and we start at 08:00am so as to keep the horses and our guests out of the glare of the sun. Normally we return by midday; although its possible to stay out longer if we spend the afternoon in the shade of forrest trails; of which there are plenty.
One of the highlights of riding in Rila National Park is the wildlife. Rila is still largely undiscovered by tourists and so you have chance to immerse yourself deep into nature and enjoy the birds, fauna and beauty up close and personal.
For hen & stag weekends this is a great opportunity to try a new sport at the same time as explore a stunning part of Europe.
Our horse riding tours not only concentrate on technique but also showcasing the natural beauty of the Borovets region.
Birds, wildlife, flowers, fauna, streams, rivers and waterfalls are all widely accessible in the summer months.

Easy route: 2 hour horse riding tour
Medium route: 3-4 hour horse riding tour
Previous experience: For our easy route anyone is welcome to try as long as they have a moderate level of fitness. For medium and difficult routes we require minimum moderate fitness level and a high level of prior horse riding experience
Includes: guided tour, pickup from meeting point, basic training, boots, helmet
Excludes: your insurance and transfers to start point, food and drink

Myself and the groom did the easy tour which we thought was ideal for us. We have done a little riding and this was well organized & excellent value. We left the rest of the stag party to relax at the hotel, thanks for organising the spa day for them.

The groom is a professional rider, so he didn't expect us to book this for him. It was very nice and we saw some lovely areas. Crossed streams; stopped for snacks in a gorgeous meadow and there was literally no body around; which made it very special. We are experienced riders and so it was quite easy for us and not many opportunities to gallop; but we can do that at home; for us it was more about exploring the national park and that was definitely worth it.
