History
Go Borovets is a travel agency born out of love towards nature, skiing, travel and adventure. From small beginnings, we were professional off piste ski and snowboarding guides in Borovets and Bansko. In 1999 we qualified with Honours at Sofia University in Business & Tourism, and soon after created our agency. 20 years later, we have an office of 8 full time staff, and a network of over 50 activity leaders. Snow mobiling was a great activity and possibly the highlight of my brothers ski stag weekend in Bulgaria. We did the 2 hour tour and most of the guys had never snow mobiled before so this was a really cool experience. Our instructors were very good and we felt it was all very well organised. Fun but safe. Definitely worth trying if the snow conditions are good.

“Carp, trout and beautiful skies”
The fishing day tour we booked with Go Borovets was great. They took us to a great spot on Lake Iskar and we caught trout and a decent 12kg carp. All equipment was up to date and we could call once we were ready for a pick up so that was a nice touch. Weather was perfect which added to the good overall experience of our stag do. Borovets might be more known for its skiing, but its superb in summer.

“We loved this ski day”
We were on a stag weekend in Sofia and we pre-booked a ski day to break up all the partying. It was an inspired decision. The transfer from Sofia to Borovets took less than one hour 30 minutes and we had a full day on the slopes. Getting kitted out was really quick and it was literally 50m walk from the ski fitment centre at Hotel Samokov to the main gondola. All the lads loved this day and it really added a lot to our weekend.

“Awesome trails and nature”
Booked this for my stag do. We are all experienced mountain bikers and downhillers and we were really impressed with the trails in Borovets. The Rila National Park is stunning and so quiet. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. Some of the view points we were taken to are epic and most of us have profile pictures from this stag holiday now. “Fantastic pub crawl”
We booked the daily pub crawl activity. George was out guide and he was a great laugh. He really got involved and took us to some great places. Borovets nightlife is pretty crazy and loose. We went from small Irish style bars to buzzing club bars and from cheesy karaoke bars to really cool alpine bars. Complete mix up but all very close so dead easy mobilising the troops. I would say our Borovets ski stag do was the best out of all the places we have done.

“Paintball team bonding fun!”
The paintball activity was a big hit. Spaces were wide and open and it was ideal for our group. We were on a Sofia stag weekend based at Hotel Lion. My bestman booked the paintball and it was legendary fun. It was just right for us. Some really good scenarios and our instructors deliberately pitched at decision making and strategy rather than just wild shoot em up. We have a mixed fitness team and this activity was well received by all members of the stag do; which was pleasing. Borovets was a great addition to my stag nights in Sofia.

“Quality off roading experience – thank you!”
Stag weekend in Bulgaria. We work in the automotive industry and are all petrol heads; so doing the off roading activity was always going to be the activity of choice for my group of friends. We have done 4×4 jeep driving in other countries such as Iceland and Romania and I am pleased to say this off roading tour stood up to the other ones we have tried. Guides were very professional; routes were varied and hard enough to keep us on our toes and challenge us. We all felt feeling very satisfied and we had some great photos when we stopped for our picnic lunch.

Snowboarding in Borovets was brilliant. We didn’t stop laughing. This is ideal for people that like to ski hard and party hard. Borovets is ideal for snowboarding and ski trips with the lads.

“Beautiful national park!”
It was fabulous surprise booked by my best man. Our guide Milana was lovely; so kind, knowledgeable and fun. She paced it ideally for our small group and everyone enjoyed the route. We saw loads of lovely fauna and wildlife. We saw roe deer, rabbits and red deer. Apparently there are still grey wolves in Rila national park but we didn’t come across any. We took the Gondola up and then walked up further to a wonderful view spot. It was a magic experience and the views of the miles of pine forests will always stay with me.
